melinda SimonMelinda Simon, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist and licensed clinical social worker, has worked as a psychotherapist for over 25 years. Dr. Simon is a member of the American Psychological Association, Michigan Psychological Association, National Association of Social Workers, and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Dr. Simon works with individuals, couples, and families. Using a mix of interpersonal, cognitive/behavioral, and eclectic approaches she provides experienced, thoughtful, and ethical care, encouraging a collaborative environment for problem solving with her clients.
Specialties include the treatment of anxiety, panic, posttraumatic stress, and issues of grief and loss. She also has an extensive history working with adults, adolescents and children with behavioral challenges, social adjustment issues, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behavior, phobias, depression and adjusting to life changing events such as divorce, relocation, or job loss.

Ilene JollyIlene Jolly, L.M.S.W., A.C.S.W. is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan with 25 years of experience providing mental health services in the public sector, in addition to 10 years of experience in outpatient psychotherapy settings. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and is credentialed with the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). She enjoys working with a diverse population of adults and adolescents (13 years and older) using interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, and eclectic approaches with an emphasis on client directed goals. She has extensive experience assisting those individuals with depression, anxiety, psychosis, personality disorders, behavioral challenges, and difficulties with social adjustment, in addition to specialized training in solution focused/brief therapy, treatment of co-occurring disorders, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As a therapist, she has a genuine interest in understanding your struggles and providing treatment in a compassionate, nonjudgmental manner. Richard ThornesRichard Thornes, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist with 30 years experience in private practice settings, 7 years experience in a community mental health counseling center, and 5 years experience as a counselor and assistant professor of psychology at the University of Missouri-Rolla.   He has also taught at Lansing Community College for 10 years, teaching Introduction to Psychology, The Psychology of Death: Preparation for Life, and in the Fall of 2009, is introducing Introduction to Positive Psychology, a new course for the College.  He is a member of The American Psychotherapy Association, and The International Positive Psychology Association, and has a Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology (Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards).   Dr. Thornes utilizes an eclectic approach in psychotherapy, as he draws upon differing approaches and his extensive experience to provide a practical problem-solving approach within a therapeutic relationship.  Dr. Thornes provides psychotherapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families, working primarily with relationship issues, stress-reduction, anger management, anxiety, panic and phobic disorders, depression, and issues in grief and loss.
Maureen MoloneyMaureen Moloney, M.S.W., L.M.S.W., A.C.S.W., C.A.A.C., is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (clinical and macro practice) in the State of Michigan and is a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor with the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals.  She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers who has over 30 years of experience in the mental health field.   She works effectively with a wide variety of diverse populations and client needs, serving adults, adolescents, and families using a strength-based, recovery model of treatment, encouraging full participation of clients in developing practical solutions for presenting problems.  Her practice focuses on assisting clients and their families in addressing concerns of depression, anxiety, loss/grief, relationship/communication issues, trauma, self-esteem, substance abuse and social justice as well as adjustment difficulties related to issues of daily living.

Debra SomervillDebra Somervill, L.M.S.W., A.C.S.W., C.A.A.C. has worked in the Human Services field for over 21 years.  She is a Licensed Master Social Worker and also holds the Academy of Certified Social Workers credential from NASW.She specializes in working with those who suffer from anxiety, trauma and loss, and with those
struggling with addictions. Deb earned a national certification for working with traumatized children.
She is especially talented at working with families and friends of those struggling with addictions whether or not the person is actively using.   She also is very familiar with and has a high regard for 12 Step Programs. Deb worked 2000 hours in a licensed treatment setting (over a four year period) in order
to earn the CAAC (Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor) credential while working full-time as a mental health therapist.  She has experience performing assessments, treatments, and 13 hours educational weekend classes that focus on the disease model of alcoholism. Deb has worked as a therapist in excess of nine years.  She is experienced in using Cognitive Behavioral therapy, features of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Gestalt Therapy, and other modalities as appropriate.  She believes in viewing the patient holistically and has deep respect for alternative therapies and approaches, encouraging her patients to consider nutrition, spirituality, medication and exercise to facilitate their healing process. She works with children, teens, adults, and couples/families.
